ChatGPT prompts for writing and editing
These 19 prompts edit without flattening your voice: proofreading that only fixes errors, summaries that keep the numbers, plain-language rewrites that keep the meaning, and a pass that strips the habits that make a draft read as AI-written. Paste your own text into the blanks and the edits stay yours.

Questions
How do I stop ChatGPT rewriting my whole draft?
Tell it what it may change and what it must leave alone, and ask for a list of edits rather than a new version. The proofreading prompt here does exactly that: errors only, each one listed with the fix, your wording otherwise untouched.
Do these prompts work in Claude, Gemini and Copilot?
Yes. Each prompt is laid out for one kind of model, shown beside it, but every one works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. Fill in the blanks and paste the whole prompt into the chat.
Are these prompts free?
Yes. You can open ten prompts without signing up, and a free email unlocks all 319 in the repository. Use them in your own work and your clients' work; please do not republish the collection.
