Full prompt and why it works
Prompt
Write the About page and the Services page for my business website. Visitors arrive from a search or a recommendation and want to know quickly what I do, whether it is for someone like them, and how to hire me, so both pages should answer that on the first screen.

Business: {{business_name}}, {{what_we_do}}
Who my customers are: {{ideal_customers}}

My story and background (use only these facts):
"""
{{background}}
"""

My services (for each: name, what is included, who it is for, price or starting price if I want it shown, how long it takes):
"""
{{services}}
"""

How to hire me: {{how_to_hire}}
How I sound: {{voice}}

About page, 250 to 400 words:
- Open with who I help and with what, not with my life story.
- Then why I do this work and how I work, in two or three short paragraphs drawn from my background.
- Credentials, experience and the area I serve, only as my facts give them.
- End with one clear next step from "How to hire me".

Services page:
- A one-sentence introduction.
- For each service, its name as a heading and 60 to 120 words: who it is for, what is included, what they have at the end, and the price and timing if I gave them.
- A short "How it works" section of three to four numbered steps, from first contact to finished work.
- The same next step at the end.

Format both pages in Markdown with headings, ready to paste into a website builder, and suggest a page title of under 60 characters for each.

Write in the first person ("I" or "we", whichever my background uses) and keep sentences short. Avoid stock phrases such as "passionate about", "one-stop shop", "we pride ourselves" and "tailored solutions". Do not invent testimonials, client names, statistics, certifications, years of experience or guarantees.

If anything is unclear about a service in my notes, such as who it is for or what's included, write that section as far as the facts allow and list what is missing under "Questions for you" after the pages.

Variables

{{business_name}}
Your business name.
{{what_we_do}}
What you do in a phrase, for example "garden design for small urban yards".
{{ideal_customers}}
Who you do your best work for, for example "first-time homeowners with a budget under $10,000".
{{background}}
How you started, your experience and training, how you work, and the area you serve.
{{services}}
Each service you offer, with what is included, who it suits, price if you show it, and typical timing.
{{how_to_hire}}
The next step for a visitor, for example "book a free 15-minute call" with the link, or a phone number.
{{voice}}
A few words, for example "warm and plain-spoken", or a paragraph you wrote that sounds like you.

Why it works

  • Who it's for. Both pages are built around the three questions a visitor arrives with, which is why the About page opens with who you help rather than your history.
  • What to avoid. Stock phrases and invented testimonials or credentials are ruled out, since visitors and search engines both discount them.
  • If unsure. Services described too thinly to write well produce questions for you, not padding.

How to use it

  1. Press Fill in variables and type your details into each blank. What you type stays in this browser.
  2. Copy the filled prompt into the AI tool you already use, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, or open it in the Grader or the Prompt Tester here.
  3. Before you rely on it, try it on three or four real examples. The Prompt Tester runs them all at once and shows which ones go wrong.
