Full prompt and why it works
Prompt
Compare the financing offers below for {{business}}, so I can see what each one really costs and what I would be agreeing to before I talk it through with {{advisor}}. Offers are quoted in different ways (interest rates, factor rates, fees, daily or weekly repayments), so the point is to put them on the same footing.

Amount I need, what it is for, and when: {{need}}

The offers, copied from the lenders' term sheets or emails:
"""
{{offers}}
"""

My monthly revenue, including my weakest month: {{revenue_pattern}}

Produce:
1. A table with one column per offer and these rows: Amount I actually receive (after fees taken upfront), Total I repay, Total cost of borrowing (total repaid minus amount received), Cost as % of amount received, Term, Cost per month of term, Repayment amount and frequency, Number of payments, First payment due, Repayment per month (converted, with the calculation), Fees, Collateral or personal guarantee, Early repayment terms.
2. Workings for each offer, for example "Factor rate 1.3 x 50,000 = 65,000 repaid; cost 15,000; 120 daily payments of 541.67".
3. Cash flow fit: each offer's monthly repayment as a share of my revenue in an average month and in my weakest month, with the calculations.
4. Points to clarify with each lender: terms that are missing or unclear in what I pasted, such as whether payments change if sales fall.
5. A plain summary of the differences, under 120 words, without choosing for me.

Rules:
- Use only the terms in the offers. Do not work out an annual percentage rate yourself; quote one only where an offer states an APR by that name, because rates worked out from daily or factor-rate terms are easy to get wrong. The cost rows above are the common footing.
- Do not recommend an offer, a lender or an amount to borrow, and do not give tax or legal advice. This comparison is for me and my advisor to discuss.
- Quote fees, guarantees and penalties exactly as written.

If an offer leaves out something needed for a row, write "not stated" in that cell and add it to the questions.

Variables

{{business}}
Your business in a few words.
{{advisor}}
Who you will discuss it with, for example "my accountant" or "my business partner".
{{need}}
How much, what for and by when, for example "25,000 for a delivery van, within a month".
{{offers}}
Each offer's terms as the lender wrote them: amount, rate or factor rate, fees, repayment schedule, guarantees, early repayment terms.
{{revenue_pattern}}
Average monthly revenue and your weakest month, for example "about 40,000; 25,000 in January".

Why it works

  • What to make. Every offer is converted to the same rows, including cost as a share of the cash received and cost per month, so a factor rate and an interest rate can finally be compared.
  • What to avoid. The model never works out an annual rate itself and never recommends an offer, because a wrong rate or a pick would be financial advice built on guesses.
  • If unsure. Missing terms show as "not stated" and become questions for the lender instead of being filled with typical values.

How to use it

  1. Press Fill in variables and type your details into each blank. What you type stays in this browser.
  2. Copy the filled prompt into the AI tool you already use, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, or open it in the Grader or the Prompt Tester here.
  3. Before you rely on it, try it on three or four real examples. The Prompt Tester runs them all at once and shows which ones go wrong.
