Full prompt and why it works
Prompt
An aerial establishing shot of {{setting}} at {{time_of_day}}, for the opening of {{use_case}}. It shows a fictional place of this kind, not a specific real location, and is not presented as footage of a real town, property or venue. Camera: a smooth, slow drone shot that {{camera_move}}, starting high and wide and ending on {{end_point}}. The movement is steady and continuous, with no cuts, no sudden turns and no shake, as if flown by an experienced pilot. Scene: {{scene_details}}. Small signs of life give it scale, such as distant cars or a few people too small to make out, with no recognizable faces. Light and style: {{light}}, with long soft shadows, realistic atmosphere and a little haze in the background, natural colors and a gentle cinematic grade. The look should be calm and polished, in the style of a documentary opening shot rather than an advert. Timing and format: {{duration_seconds}} seconds, one continuous shot, {{aspect_ratio}}. Sound: {{sound}}. No dialogue and no voice-over, because narration or titles will be added in editing. Leave out text, signs with readable words, logos, brand names, watermarks, and drones or aircraft in the frame. If something about the setting is not given above, keep it simple and natural rather than adding landmarks.
Variables
- {{setting}}
- The kind of place, for example "a small harbor town on a rocky coast" or "a business district of glass towers".
- {{time_of_day}}
- For example "early morning" or "just before sunset".
- {{use_case}}
- What the clip opens, for example "a conference welcome video".
- {{camera_move}}
- One move, for example "glides forward over the rooftops toward the harbor".
- {{end_point}}
- Where the shot settles, for example "the boats moored along the quay".
- {{scene_details}}
- Two or three concrete details, for example "red-tiled roofs, a stone church tower and fishing boats".
- {{light}}
- The light, for example "warm, low sunlight from the left".
- {{duration_seconds}}
- A clip length your video model supports; check its settings.
- {{aspect_ratio}}
- 16:9 for most screens, 9:16 for vertical social video.
- {{sound}}
- What we hear, for example "wind and distant gulls, no music", or "silence" if music goes on later.
Why it works
- Format. One slow, continuous drone move from wide to a named end point gives the model a single clear camera instruction, which is what video models follow best.
- What to avoid. The place is fictional and no readable signs or logos appear, so the footage cannot be passed off as a real town, venue or property.
- Background facts. Sound gets its own line after the visuals and leaves out speech, as Google's Veo guidance suggests, so narration or music can go on top in editing.
