Before you publish a post written with AI, see what sounds machine-made, the claims to check and the markdown left over from a chat.

== Description ==

Publish Check adds a panel to the block editor, and to the screen you see when you press Publish, that reads your post the way a careful editor would:

* Phrases that sound machine-made, such as filler openings, AI-favorite words and long dashes, with the exact phrases.
* Claims to check before it goes live: numbers, dates, quotes, named studies and sources, riskiest first.
* Markdown left over from a chat: stars, pound signs and [links](like this) that show as symbols on the page.
* Blanks the AI left for you, such as [insert company name].
* Email addresses, phone and card numbers, so nothing private goes out by mistake.
* The links in the post, to open before you publish, since AI writes links that look right and do not exist.

It uses the same rules as the free Robot-Speak Checker and Fact Check List on thinkhard.si.

= Private by design =

The checks run in your browser, inside the editor. The plugin makes no network requests, stores nothing, and adds no tables, options or tracking. The two buttons at the bottom open thinkhard.si in a new tab with the post's text after the # in the address, which browsers never send to a server.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin through Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, or unzip it into wp-content/plugins.
2. Activate it.
3. Open a post in the block editor. Publish Check is in the editor's sidebar menu, and it appears when you press Publish.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does it send my posts anywhere? =

No. The checks run in the editor. Nothing is sent unless you press a button that opens thinkhard.si, and even then the text travels after the # in the address, which is not sent to a server.

= Does it work with the classic editor? =

No. It needs the block editor.

= Does it tell me if AI wrote a post? =

No, and no tool can tell reliably. It shows the habits that make writing read as machine-made, so you can fix them.
